Fair Trade Heart Cuff Bracelet

This fair trade metal cuff bracelet is simply exquisite. Made from a dimpled silver coloured metal and then decorated with a gold coloured heart and other shaped metal trimmings giving exquisite detailing.

The bracelet has been made by skilled crafts people in India and is presented in a fair trade padded batik gift box. The gift box is made in Bali by women using recycled saris.

The importer of this fair trade bracelet is a member of BAFTS and has been trading fairly for over ten years. They buy fair traded products from India, Indonesia, Nepal and Thailand. Most products are purchased directly from the primary producers. In India they will purchase from larger companies who provide benefits for their workers such as free healthcare and free education. One of their suppliers provide funding for two schools in Rajasthan. One supplier in Nepal supports an orphanage and he gives his workers work clothes and holiday pay.

In Indonesia and Thailand where they only deal with the primary producer the supplier may provide advance payments for them to purchase materials and other necessities. All workers are paid a fair price for each product with is above the national average and men and women are paid the same rate.
