Fair Trade Mosaic & Sequin Tealight Holder

These pretty fair trade tealight holders have been hand made in India. Each glittery tealight holder is completely unique with it's individual design. The metal tealight holder has been carefully decorated with a mosaic and sequin pattern using local materials such as beads, glass and sequins.

Each of these fair trade tealight holder measures approximately 18mm high x 42mm in diameter.

The importer of these fair trade tealight holders is a member of BAFTS and has been trading fairly for over ten years. They buy fair traded products from India, Indonesia, Nepal and Thailand. Most products are purchased directly from the primary producers. In India they will purchase from larger companies who provide benefits for their workers such as free healthcare and free education. One of their suppliers provide funding for two schools in Rajasthan. One supplier in Nepal supports an orphanage and he gives his workers work clothes and holiday pay. In Indonesia and Thailand where they only deal with the primary producer the supplier may provide advance payments for them to purchase materials and other necessities. All workers are paid a fair price for each product with is above the national average and men and women are paid the same rate.
