Fair Trade Sun or Moon Oil Burner

Choose from a happy sun or smiley moon ceramic oil burner. The fair trade sun oil burner is painted orange on the top whilst the fair trade moon oil burner is painted green. Lift the ceramic oil burner off its base to place a tea light candle inside and add the oil to the top. The base also doubles as a incense burner.

The sides and back of the fair trade oil burners have moon and sun patterns cut out the ceramic. Once on their base they measure about 9cm tall and 6cm wide.

The importer of these ceramic oil burners have a direct trading policy. They visit the poorer regions of the world, such as Indonesia, Nepal, Peru and the Amazon in search of quality crafts. Once found they pay a fair price, often making advanced payments to enable the craftsman or artist to purchase raw materials. This direct trading policy currently provides well paid regular employment for about 200 families.
